Individual Therapy
Individual therapy is a space for you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors in a safe and supportive environment. Together, we will identify patterns that may be holding you back and work towards your goals for personal growth and self-discovery. Whether you’re navigating trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, or simply seeking deeper self-understanding, this one-on-one setting allows for focused and personalized attention to your unique experiences.
Relationship Therapy
Healthy relationships are vital to our overall well-being, and I provide guidance for couples/relationships and individuals as they navigate relationship dynamics. Relationship therapy services are designed to support individuals and couples/relationships build deeper, more meaningful connections and to navigate any arising challenges such as communication issues, differing attachment patterns, trauma wounds, or other conflicts. Together we will explore the underlying issues affecting your relationship and work together to foster understanding and increased intimacy.
Trauma-Informed Therapy
Trauma can profoundly impact our lives. All services offered at CBH Psychology are trauma-informed, but for those looking to specifically address developmental and attachment-related trauma, we will work together to process and understand the impact of past trauma, to develop coping strategies, foster increased capacity and resilience, and ultimately support you in healing from past experiences, reclaiming your narrative, and living a more connected and full life.
NARM Therapy Services
NARM® is a therapeutic approach developed by Lawrence Heller, PhD. to support the understanding and healing of complex and developmental trauma (also known as cPTSD). NARM® holds that complex and developmental trauma, stemming from early childhood experiences, affects our nervous system, our relationship patterns, and the way we view ourself. The impact of complex trauma often results in the development of maladaptive coping strategies, which further perpetuates our lack of connection to ourself and others.
While the field of psychology has historically viewed mental health concerns in terms of symptoms and diagnoses, NARM is a non-pathologizing model that seeks to understand individual’s concerns and views symptoms as adaptive responses to past experiences.
My practice name, CBH Psychology, is inclusive of key parts of the NARM model – Connecting, Being, Healing. Through present-moment focused interventions, clients are supported in compassionately reconnecting with themselves and ultimately and exploring what gets in the way of the life they most want for themselves.
